The Pennsylvania Cosmetology Law allows the state to deny people a license if they lack “good moral character,” which the state initially bases on whether they have a criminal record, no matter the offense or when it happened. This moral character provision is one of tens of thousands of regulations used by states and local governments that make it harder for people with criminal records to secure gainful employment. Often called “collateral consequences,” these rules affect about 1 in 3 American adults who have a criminal record.

Thailand’s Ramathibodi Hospital has announced that the world’s first stem cell transplant involving a young patient with COVID-19 was performed successfully.   Dr. Suradet Hongeng, an expert in stem cell transplants at the department of paediatrics, said a five-year-old boy donated bone marrow stem cells to save his seven-year-old sister who was born with a blood disorder known as thalassemia. Apart from the COVID-19 risks, doctors also had to race against time because the little girl had been completely physically prepared with chemotherapy, and consequently her body had low immunity. 

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has unveiled dozens of long-kept photos of the Korean War, providing a rare glimpse into the devastation and resilience people demonstrated with seemingly little hope on the horizon.  Most of the photos feature life in makeshift prisoners of war camps built in places including the southern island of Geoje and the southeastern port city of Busan, where North Korean and Chinese POWs were held. The 70 black-and-white still images were published in time for the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the 1950-53 conflict.

사무실이 정막?! 해서 사무실 책상에 놓고 키울 미니화분을 주문했다.  주문한 곳에서 포장도 잘되어서 오고, 완전 고급진 스타일이 되서 기분이 좋았다. 다시 다른것도 사고 싶게 만드는 곳입이다.  내가 산건 싱고니움, 테이블야자수, 금전수다. 너무 큰 금전수가 있는데, 이건 작아서 귀엽다.    포장이 어마어마하게 왔다. ㅎㅎㅎ 정말 꼼꼼한 포장. 하나하나 잘 싸여있어서 돌이 떨어지지도 않는다. 일하분 성향이 느껴지는 포장. ㅎ 포장을 푸르고 이제는 진열... 책상 옆에 둘지, 창가에 둘지... 눈에 잘 보이는 책상 옆이 일단 제격이다.   얼마나 예쁘게 자랄지... 기대된다. 잘 키우는 과정도 같이 올릴 예정. 기대하시라~~~ 옆에 큰 금전수처럼 키울 예정이다. 화이팅~ 

일을 같이 하는 사람은 일이 되게 하기 위해 굉장히 중요한 부분이다. 그래서 동료가 중요하다.  서로를 위해 같이 일하는 사람을 찾고 있다면 다음을 명심하면 좋다. 거부인 리자청(李嘉诚)은 같이 일해서는 안되는 6종류의 사람( 六种人不合作 )을 말했다. 보면 다 이해가 되는 사람들... 그런데 무심코 같이 일하고 있을 수 있으니 조심하고 경계하자.

A social distancing-conscious drive-in concert series coming up in July will feature designated tailgating areas and ticketing by vehicle. Attendees will drive into parking lots of amphitheaters where each vehicle will be allotted two parking spaces: one for the vehicle and one for tailgating. There will also be an empty space on either side of the designated vehicle and tailgating space for each group. The set of nine shows dubbed “Live from the Drive-In” will take place in the states of Tennessee, Mississippi, and Indiana.

A vast cloud of Sahara dust is blanketing the Caribbean with a size  that experts say hasn’t been seen in half a century. The mass of extremely dry and dusty air is known as the Saharan Air Layer and forms over the Sahara desert. It moves across the North Atlantic every three to five days during the northern hemisphere’s late spring to early autumn, peaking in late June to mid-August. Air quality across most of the region reached record “hazardous” levels and experts who nicknamed the event the “Godzilla dust cloud” warned people to stay indoors and use air filters if they had them.

Nearly 260 million children had no access to schooling in 2018, a United Nations agency said in a report that blamed poverty and discrimination for educational inequalities that are being exacerbated by the coronavirus outbreak. Children from poorer communities as well as girls, the disabled, immigrants, and ethnic minorities were at a distinct educational disadvantage in many countries. According to the report, the disparities worsened with the arrival of the coronavirus crisis, which saw over 90 percent of the global student population affected by school closures.
