The move is expected to make South Korean drivers' licenses valid in some 35 countries and could start as early as September. Currently, Korea-issued drivers' licenses can be used in 67 countries, but they must be translated by an authorized agency. The new English licenses will do away with the need for the translation and are expected to bring added convenience to travelers.
