After Preaching the Lord’s Prayer(주기도를 통해 우리가 바로 구하고, 바로 살게되기를) by REV. HOJISHIN

From February 21st, we have meditated the Lord’s Prayer which Jesus taught and searched true meaning of it through 9 weeks. The Lord’s Prayer itself is a perfect prayer which can be prayed alone, but by meditating on and understanding each phrase, we were able to pray with more extensiveness. So far, we have learned that: Jesus called God “Dad” rather than “Father,” and also taught and encouraged us to do the same. This means that we have an intimate and close relationship with God. We have also learned the order in which we should arrange our petitions to God. Before praying for ourselves, we must first pray for God. Hallowed be your name. Dear God, as the Creator, receive all praise, honor, and glory you are worthy of. Your Kingdom come. Recover this world so it may become your beautiful and orderly Kingdom. Tongues for Mission(선교를 위한 방언) by REV. HOJISHIN

In Acts 2, there is a memorable moment of Pentecost recorded. God promised to give us the Holy Spirit first. So Jesus told his disciples to stay within Jerusalem and to await the promised Spirit. The disciples gathered in Mark’s upper room to pray. When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there came a gale-force wind. It filled the whole house. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them. They saw what looked like tongues of fire which spread out and touched each person there. Even now, when we Christians pray, the Holy Spirit gives us the gift of tongue. So when people pray together, we may hear one another praying in tongue. In revivals and other events, people often ask to place pastor’s hand on their head in order to receive tongues. The tongues that the disciples were given were completely foreign languages. There were many J

[Mother’s Day] 디아스포라 Diaspora(διασπορά) by REV. HOJISHIN

“Diaspora” is the Greek word meaning “to spread, or disperse.” It indicates a race or a mass of people, willingly or unwillingly, leaving their homeland for another country or area. Especially, Jews who were expelled and dispersed to all around world are referred to as Diaspora Jews. Today, there are numerous people who have moved away for a better life thanks to the development of transportation; therefore, “diaspora” does not refer only to Jewish people, but to these people as well. For this reason, many Koreans can be seen around the world. There are many Diaspora Koreans. In 2013, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported at least 2 million people living in China and in the United States, 900K in Japan, 200K in Canada, 170K each in Russia, Uzbekistan, and Australia, 80K in the Philippines and Vietnam, and many more in Brazil, United Kingdom, etc. In total, Koreans live in 30 different countries, but probably in more places as well. In the region today where the Soviet Union used
