The People's Congress in Jiaxing, recently announced that it would impose up to 50 yuan in fines (around 8,400 won) for pedestrians who look down on their smartphones when crossing crosswalks.
The city also enacted a law that would impose a fine of up to 200 yuan for those who make loud noises in public places, or those who litter while riding a bicycle or motorcycle.
