NBC's Pentagon correspondent Courtney Kube was talking about Turkish air strikes in Syria when her son appeared live on camera, causing the mom-turned-anchor to return to just the role of mom.
She later explained that "breaking news in Syria didn't line up with the pre-school drop-off", so she had to bring her two children to work.
