One tour company there is reeling in big business with so-called ecotours that allow people to fish out plastic from the city's famous canals. Amsterdam has seemingly become a victim of its own success. A huge influx of visitors over the past few years has seen the annual total reach 18 million, which is more than the entire population of the Netherlands.
