An Iranian man who arrived in South Korea in 2010 and renounced Islam has made his second attempt at receiving refugee status.

An Iranian man who arrived in South Korea in 2010 and renounced Islam has made his second attempt at receiving refugee status. 

Since his first application was rejected, the man has been baptized and received confirmation. 

He hopes to live in Korea with his son, who received refugee status last year, due in no small part to the pleas and petitions of his classmates. If sent back to his country, the man fears he will be sentenced to death because of his religious conversion.

2010년 한국에 입국해 이슬람교를 포기한 이란인이 난민 지위를 받으려고 두 번째 시도를 했다.

첫 번째 신청이 거절된 이후, 그 남자는 세례를 받고 확인을 받았다.

그는 작년에 난민 지위를 받은 아들과 함께 한국에서 살기를 희망하고 있는데, 이는 학우들의 간청과 탄원 때문이기도 하다. 만약 그의 나라로 돌려보낸다면, 그 남자는 그의 종교적인 개종 때문에 사형 선고를 받을까 봐 두려워한다.
